Key findings
More than 1 in 3 Ohio Kroger stores reviewed overcharged customers.
Inspectors recorded 58 failed inspections. In Butler county, half of the inspections failed.
Overcharges averaged more than 20 percent above shelf prices.
557 shopper submissions (29 percent) described overcharging, including repeated trips to customer service to get their money back.
Shoppers also reported misleading sales and inaccessible discounts: 247 submissions described misleading signage, and 139 described difficulty obtaining digital-only prices.
